Advanced Skin Rejuvenation
Endocare skincare range’s unique SCA Biorepair Technology harnesses the power of nature to provide scientifically advanced regeneration of ageing and photo-damaged skin. SCA Technology (which stands for Secretion of the Cryptomphalus Aspersa) is a growth factor, a mix of proteins that work to help skin regenerate tissue that is lost in the aging process and prevent further breakdown. This natural secretion of a snail provides and replaces dermatologically active substances which can no longer be produced due to photoaging and other external aggressions. These substances primarily act on the fibroblasts, the cells which are most involved in the recovery and regeneration of the skin.
SCA has been shown to increase the numbers and activity of fibroblasts (the skin’s generators of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid), build the underlying architecture of the skin and provide anti-oxidant activity against skin damaging free radicals.
Properties & Therapeutic Activities
- Skin regeneration
Collagen activity through a series of enzymes encourages skin regeneration. SCA’s skin regeneration activity is produced by mucopolysaccarides, glycoproteins, and oligoelements.
- Antioxidant activity
SCA's antioxidant activity is induced by polysaccharides that capture free radicals. Use of SCA stimulates SOD and GSH-T activity, as well as that of antioxidants with low molecular weight that are usually destroyed in the skin due to prolonged stress.
- Growth stimulator
SCA stimulates the proliferation of fibroblasts mediated through proteins. It also reconstitutes the optimal functional capability of fibroblasts prematurely defunct.
